▸ IMG-type S-rank battlesuit Palatinus Equinox debuts! The first IMG-type battlesuit dealing Physical DMG. She is known for her melee Physical Attack ability, where can she can freely switch between two forms: Guardian and Knight by pressing the Ultimate button.
▸ Since her battlesuit name is too long, I will call her Durandal for the entire guide.
▸ Opinion of the battlesuit
• Very very strong Physical Valkyrie, but since she has two types of playstyle movements, you probably need a little practice before getting used to her.
• Fairly F2P: You can replace the Lance with other PRI-ARM like Hler’s Ataraxia, while the stigmata can be replaced with Elysia TB Kafka M (Farmable).

S⭐- Unlock 80% of her potential
Almost all of her available skills have been unlocked, and the damage output is excellent.
SS⭐- Unlock 90% of her potential
Another two of her skill will be unlocked, providing initial SP and bonus Physical DMG.
SSS⭐- Unlock 100% of her potential
Unlock the last skill ‘Paradox Spiral’ where the battlesuit will deal bonus Total DMG. In addition, upgrading her other skills to significantly boost her overall damage.
✦ SKILL DETAILS ✦
▸ Leader Skill – Stellar Crusader
• Whenever Durandal is the leader, the whole team will gain an increase of 24% bonus Physical DMG (both melee and ranged) and a 33% bonus Crit Rate for weapon active skills.
▸ Passive Skill – Aria Palatinus
• Durandal has two different bars (both being called ICHOR), one on the Guardian Form and another one for Knight Form.

• This bar maxes at 300 and auto-restores over time, meaning you aren’t obligated to do certain attacks to fill the bar.
• However, there is certain move you can do to recharge the bar faster:
Guardian Form:
1. Casting weapon active skill
2. Shield Ram after switches from Knight > Guardian
Knight Form:
1. Casting weapon active skill
2. Recharge faster when moving
3. Ultimate Evasion
• Note that ICHOR will automatically reset when Durandal switches form or exit the field.
▸ Evade Skill – Duality of Antinomy
• Durandal has two different evasion movements based on her form.
✦ Guardian Form
• Evade forward towards enemies to triggers Shield Ram, triggering Retaliation which negates incoming attacks, deals Physical DMG, and Ultimate Evasion Skill.
✦ Knight Form
• Evading enemies’ attacks will trigger Ultimate Evasion, while tapping the evade button without evading anything is called Leap Stomp.
QTE
• Durandal’s QTE is triggered when an enemy is Time Slowed or knocked airborne. After entering the field, she will automatically enter Knight Form and deals Physical DMG.
▸ Basic ATK – Immortal Kaslana
• Basic ATK is different for Durandal, depending on her Guardian Form or Knight Form. For the Guardian Form, there are 4 sequences of attacks and at full ICHOR, she can cast Equinox Severance (Charged ATK) which triggers 3 seconds of global Time Fracture and deals Physical DMG.
▸ Special Attack – Glorious Schariac
• Durandal’s Special Attack is what makes her more unique than other Valkyries. By tapping the Ultimate button, she will change form into Knight Form mounting a warhorse called Krishna.
• Knight Durandal can do 4 sequences of Basic ATK dealing Physical DMG. Hold the ATK button to consume ICHOR and unleash Elite Thrust.
▸ Ultimate – Equinox March
• By holding Durandal’s Ultimate button, she will switch to Knight Form and deals Physical DMG, while suspending all skill timers and stage timers.
• The best part of this Ultimate is if this skill hits IMG enemies, the Nihilus Seed (core) will also take 150% of the damage taken by Nihilus Shell.

▸ Damage Comparison
• Midnight Ataegina and Bianka set place 1st in the highest damage dealt, which is no surprise as it is the signature equipment for Durandal.
• The next position belongs to Columbus TM Elysia B with a 5.3% difference. Columbus is the next best set for Durandal because it focused on Charged ATK. However, the downside is it specialized in single-target enemies like the boss in MA/Abyss.
• For weapons, the next best after M-Ataegina is Hler's Ataraxia. Definitely don't use Abyss Flower: Liminal Spiral because that weapon is exclusively for BKE, and not suitable for Durandal even with passive. It's better to use M-Eclipse than Abyss Flower. More about this will be explained in my next guide.

[Palatinus Equinox | Sweet n Spicy | Herrscher of Sentience]
• Both SnS & HoS can provide a high Physical DMG bonus to Durandal. In addition, HoS has a controllable Time Slowed skill (Sword Combo ATK), global Time Fracture (Evasion), and can knocked enemies airborne (Sword & Chainblades Combo ATK, depending on the enemies’ weight).
• All these skills can trigger Durandal’s QTE, allowing her to enter the field and do Ultimate Evasion to restore ICHOR while directly activating all bonuses from the Bianka: Theater stigmata set. HoS also has the gathering skill which can greatly improve this lineup when facing a group of enemies.

[Lightning Empress | Palatinus Equinox | Herrscher of Sentience]
• HoS is too valuable to pass, so it’s better if you let her stay in any team where Durandal is in. Sweet n Spicy, however, can be replaced with other character that suits the stage.
• In this case, if you want to end the battle quickly, add Lightning Empress as SP battery so Durandal can cast her Ultimate faster. Of course, since LE is a Lightning Valkyrie, you need to use Physical Support and Stigmata so her roles isn’t too useless in the team.

✦ CONCLUSION ✦
• Palatinus Equinox is the first S-rank Imaginary Physical Valkyrie. You can guess that since a new Imaginary damage dealer is here, there is bound to be a new boss for her to stand out. In version 5.5, a new boss False God OTTO is an IMG type, and weak against Physical Valkyrie. Palatinus Equinox is the perfect character to fight him.
• If you care about MA and Abyss (or any other content bc Durandal is that OP), then you definitely should pull for Palatinus Equinox. There’s also the bonus where she will have no counter against other enemies (Mecha/Psy/Bio), so she won’t have the damaged reduction when fighting them.
• For her equipment, of course, her signature equipment is the best for her. However, if you run out of crystals, you can substitute her equipment with Hler’s Ataraxia and Columbus TM Ely B. If there’s no Columbus, you can forge Ely TB Kafka M (all are forgeable, but will take times).
