✦ Introduction ✦
Rosaria is a Cryo Sub DPS / Support that excels at dealing damage off-field while providing buffs and energy generation to the team. She is notable for her rare C.Rate share buff and versatility in both builds and teams. Beware that some section of this guide is divided by playstyle, mainly Freeze, Melt and General Support/Sub DPS.
P.s. I will only mention here and there the possibility of Main DPS (Physical or Cryo) playstyle without going deep into it as, even if her Constellations seem to allow it, remains not her best role.
✦ Talents Overview ✦
✦ Elemental Skill: Rav4ging Confession ✦
Rosaria will shift rapidly behind her opponent dealing 2 instances of Cryo DMG
• Cooldown 6s
• Generates 3 Elemental Particles when the second slash hits
• She cannot use this skill to appear behind large enemies (list below)
• With her Ascension 1 Talent, when hitting an opponent from behind she will increase her own C.Rate by 12% for 5s
• It has no ICD (Internal Cooldown), meaning it will always apply its element thus being able to Melt on every instance of damage
Enemies you CANNOT teleport behind: Hypostasis, Andrius, Azdaha, La Signora, Mitachurls (shielded), Primo Geo Vishap, Mechanical Array, Ruin Grader/Guard/Hunter and Golden Wolflord (hard to pull off).
You can still get the Ascension 1 bonus when hitting the back of every enemy except: Stormterror and Regisvines
P.s. the Skill name has a 4 instead of "a" because otherwise it gets censored LOL
✦ Elemental Burst: Rites Probationum ✦
Deals 2 instances of Cryo DMG while summoning an Ice Lance that will stay on the ground and deal AoE Cryo DMG every 2s.
Ice Lance
• Duration 8s • Cooldown 15s • Energy Cost 60
• The Ice Lance will hit a total of 4 times. With C2 unlocked it will last an additional 4 seconds, hitting 6 times in total
• With her Ascension 2 Talent, Ice Lance will also increase the C.Rate of nearby party members (Rosaria excluded) by 15% of Rosaria's C.Rate for 10s after casting it
• The damage over time snapshots (uses Rosaria's stats at the time of cast for the entire duration)
• It has no ICD (Internal Cooldown), meaning it will always apply its element thus being able to Melt on every instance of damage
✦ Normal Attack: Spear of the Church ✦
Rosaria's Normal, Charged and Plunging Attacks don't have anything out of the ordinary. Her usual playstyle (Freeze and Melt) do not make any use of this Talent. While a Cryo (via Chongyun) or Physical Main DPS playstyles do. They remain an off meta choice.
✦ Ascension 1: Regina Probationum ✦
When Rosaria strikes an opponent from behind using her Elemental Skill, Rosaria's CRIT Rate increases by 12% for 5s. It's important to always use your Skill before your Burst to take advantage of her Burst snapshot and the next Talent.
✦ Ascension 4: Shadow Samaritan ✦
Casting her Skill increases the C.Rate of all nearby party members (Rosaria excluded) by 15% of her C.Rate for 10s. C.Rate Bonus gained this way cannot exceed 15%. Be mindful that this passive only counts the C.Rate on your stats page. Any extra from sources like Cryo resonance or Blizzard Strayer set will not count.
✦ Talent Priority ✦
In most cases you want to go Burst > Skill > Normal Attack (level 1).
If you plan on using her as a Main DPS then Burst ≥ Normal > Skill.
✦ Artifact Sets ✦
✦ Freeze ✦
• 4 Blizzard Strayer
15% Cryo DMG Bonus and 40% C.Rate is the highest value of any artifact set in this situation. Even if it doesn't work well with her C.Rate share.
• 4 Noblesse or 2 mix
✦ Melt ✦
• 4 Lavawalker
Her best option for Melt focused teams but a hard one to justify farming for. The difference between this and Emblem or a mixed set is not big so use Lavawalker only if you already have a good set.
• 4 Emblem of Severed Fate
Melt teams usually have 2 Pyro and 1 Anemo, leaving Rosaria by herself generating Cryo energy. This set helps there while also focusing on your Burst damage.
• 2 mix | Cryo / Wanderer / Noblesse / 18% ATK
2 Cryo 2 Noblesse or Wanderer is somewhat comparable to the bonus of a full Emblem set, choose based on your substats.
✦ Support/Sub DPS ✦
Any option will do fine. Supporting a Superconduct team? Try Noblesse to further buff it. Just generally supporting? Then any option of mixed sets will be just fine, try to still prioritize Burst and Cryo DMG bonusses.
Main/Sub Stats
• Sands | ATK% / EM
ATK for general purpose and Freeze teams. EM or ATK% in melt teams. ER% is unnecessary in most occasions.
• Goblet | Cryo
ATK can be used by low AR players
• Circlet | C.DMG / C.Rate
C.DMG for Freeze teams. Either for Melt or Sub DPS builds, with a higher priority to C.Rate
Substats
Freeze builds will focus on C.DMG > ATK% > C.Rate
Melt builds will want Crit > EM > ATK%
A general support will want higher C.Rate than usual then C.DMG > ATK%
Be sure to always have enough ER as the Burst is her main source of damage. Melt teams will generally need the most, Freeze might require little to no ER while a general supports can look into using a Favonius Lance. How much exact ER you will need will be based on team, rotation and weapons. Test it to be sure!
✦ Weapons ✦
I created 3 charts with the various playstyles. Please use them as a guideline and as an absolute, a weapon might still perform better than another in various situations (mostly buffs and stats). For any question you can always find my links in this post!
✦ Freeze ✦
Note: Generally avoid C.Rate weapons as they go beyond 100% very easily in Freeze teams. Favonius for the utility and extra energy for the team is preferable if necessary.
✦ Melt ✦
✦ General ✦
Note: Generally either prioritize Favonius for the extra energy if necessary or C.Rate weapons for higher Crit Rate share from your Talents.
✦ Teams ✦
The teams I'm going to show are the following: Burst Reverse Melt - Freeze sub DPS - Support.
There are more ways to play Rosaria but I consider them a bit too off meta, we will look at them another time.
Reverse Melt
Thanks to Rosaria's Elemental Skill and Burst having no ICD (Internal Cooldown) she is able to Melt every instance of damage, if enough Pyro is available. In this kind of team, she will do the most damage and require the most investment.
You can get creative with this team as long as you provide enough Pyro for her Melts. Bennett and Xiangling are among the best options for this playstyle but they are both highly contested in most accounts.
Any Anemo will do but Sucrose, Kazuha and Jean come first.
Sunfire Reverse Melt
The combo of Bennett's and Jean's Bursts will spread a lot of Pyro around you making it a good way to provide Rosaria her Melts. The last slot can be anyone that does not disrupt these reactions.
Freeze Sub DPS
90% of Freeze teams are built with 2 Cryo, 1 Anemo and 1 Hydro. You don't have to stick with this template but it just works very very well. Usually 1 Cryois the Main DPS while the other provides either utility (energy) or damage. Anemo is super high value because of VV set and Hydro is necessary to Freeze and unlock full potential of Blizzard's Strayer set for the Cryo units.

General Support
Focus on Crit Rate for her share and damage or utility depending on your team. She is really nice with Physical carry teams (even without C6) but she does well in generally any team.
✦ Constellations ✦
Green = Good
Yellow = Average
Red = Bad
C1 • When she crits she gets extra ATK Speed and NA DMG Bonus; a really bad constellation but ok-ish if you intend to use her as on-field DPS
C2 • 4 extra seconds on her Burst (2 more instances of damage). A really good boost to her damage as a Sub DPS
C3 • + 3 Level to her Elemental Skill Talent
C4 • Crits from her Skill regenerate 5 Energy for Rosaria (not influenced by ER); this constellation depends on how much energy she needs in a particular team
C5 • +3 Levels to her Burst Talent
C6 • Her Burst decreases opponent's Physical RES by 20% for 10s. Very good but only in rare Physical teams
No Constellation is mandatory for Rosaria, but having C2 is great.
