Intro

Four versions after the cheeky “In your dreams,” we can finally see Yae Miko with more of her fox form. A friendly reminder though, as far as you're concerned, Yae does not have a tail.
Conclusion

For Yae, it seems that her high base ATK (340) allows her to effectively utilize artifacts that enhance her ATK. This put 2-Thundering + 2-Gladiator and 2-Shimenawa + 2-Gladiator on-par with each other. The full rankings are as follow:
Artifact Main Stat:
• Timepiece: ATK%
• Goblet: Electro%
• Circlet: Crit%
Main-stat ranking:
1. ATK/Electro/Crit
2. ATK/ATK/Crit (No-reaction team only. Not recommended unless there’s no other choice)
3. EM/Electro/Crit – ER/Electro/Crit (EM is better with Reaction, ER is better without)
4. EM/EM/EM (Better than ER/Electro Crit in Reaction team)
Note that Electro-Charged damage scales with Yae Miko's level, so your damage may be lower if she's not level 90.
Artifact Set:
1. 2-Thundering Fury + 2-Gladiator’s Finale – 2-Shimenawa’s Reminiscence + 2-Gladiator’s Finale (They’re pretty much on-par. Choose whichever has the better sub-stat).
2. 2-Thundering Fury + 2-Wanderer’s Troupe (Performs better in Reaction-team).
3. 2-Thundering Fury + 2-Noblesse Oblige
4. 4-Thundering Fury
5. 4-Emblem of Severed Fate
If you plan on doing a mono-Electro team, then 4-Thundersoother is the best option. If you want Yae to buff the team, then opt for 4-Tenacity of the Millelith (I won't recommend it tho).
Best Weapon For Yae Miko:
1. Kagura's Verity
2. Skyward Atlas
3. Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds
4. The Widsith
5. Solar Pearl
6. Mappa Mare
7. Oathsworn Eye
8. Hakushin Ring
Use Hakushin Ring or Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers if you want Yae Miko as a buffer.
Yae Miko's Mechanic
Yae Miko has a rather low Normal Attack multiplier, where she’s clearly outshined by DPS Catalyst users. Therefore, it’s best to stick to enhancing Yae’s Elemental Skill and Burst instead.
Elemental Skill
• Yae can own up to 3 charges of her Sesshou Sakura (Elemental Skill).
• A maximum of 3 Sesshou Sakura can exist at one time.
• The turret will start at level 1. Summoning another one nearby will increase all of their levels by one. Maximum level 3. You can have different-level Sesshou Sakura if you deploy them too far from each other.
• Each charge has a 4s cooldown and 14s duration, so you can easily have 100% uptime.
• These Sesshou Sakura will periodically attack one enemy in the AoE.
Elemental Burst
Yae Miko’s Burst is really simple: she deals massive Electro damage upon casting. If you have her Sesshou Sakura on the field, each of them will explode, dealing even higher damage. For each turret destroyed this way, you’ll get one charge of Yae’s Elemental Skill.
Talent Level-Up Priority
1. Elemental Skill
2. Elemental Burst
3. Ignore Normal Attack
While it’d be very tempting to focus on her Burst, Yae’s Elemental Skill is the better long-term investment.
Yae Miko's Constellations
C1: When Yae’s fox turret is destroyed by her Burst, she regains 8 Energy.
Priority: High
• This Constellation is a massive help if your Yae struggles to regain her Burst. This lowers the needed regenerated Energy from 90 to 66.
C2: Yae’s Elemental Skill starts at level 2 and the max level is increased to 4. Increase its range by 60%.
Priority: High
• Since Yae’s Skill is her main source of damage, the level increase can be a decent addition to her DPS.
C4: When Elemental Skill damage opponents, the Electro DMG Bonus of all nearby party members is increased by 20% for 5s.
Priority: High
• While it’s not the best for all compositions, Yae’s C4 is highly viable in Electro-focused comp.
C6: Yae’s Elemental Skill will ignore 60% of the opponent's DEF.
Priority: Extremely high
• Yae’s C6 increase her Skill damage by around 30%.
Choosing the Artifact
Tested Sets:
1. 2-Thundering Fury + 2-Gladiator’s Finale
2. 2-Thundering Fury + 2-Wanderer’s Troupe
3. 2-Thundering Fury + 2-Noblesse Oblige
4. 4-Thundering Fury
5. 4-Emblem of Severed Fate
(I also tested 2-Shimenawa + 2-Gladiator and 4-Thundersoother, but will not include the result in this article)
Tested Main Stat:
1. ATK/Electro/Crit
2. EM/Electro/Crit
3. ER/Electro/Crit
4. EM/EM/EM
(I also tested ATK/ATK/Crit, but will not include the result in this article)
Choosing the Weapon
1. Kagura's Verity (Full stack passive)
2. Skyward Atlas (Passive damage attached but not considered in total)
3. Sacrificial Fragments (Passive not considered)
4. The Widsith (Passive active and non-active are both included)
5. Solar Pearl (Passive is active)
6. Mappa Mare (Full stack passive)
7. Oathsworn Eye (Passive is considered)
8. Hakushin Ring (Passive is active)
9. Favonius Codex (Passive is considered)
(I also tested Lost Prayer, but will not include the result in this article)
Simulation Assumptions
1. Yae Miko is level 90
2. Enemy is a level 80 Hilichurl
3. Talent level 8, C0
4. Electro-Charged triggers once every 2.5s
5. Sesshou Sakura is always at level 3
6. Elemental Skill hits once every second
7. Passive is considered
Stat Overview
I'll only show the stat for 4-Emblem to avoid lengthy analysis.

Damage Overview
The tables below are average values, so Critical and Non-Critical HIts are both considered. Note that Electro-Charged damage scales with Yae Miko's level, so your damage may be lower if she's not level 90.

Simulation Overview
Note: Skyward Atlas' total does not include its passive.

Result Overview
Result overview ranked the total value based on four aspects: No Reaction, with Reaction, normal Burst uptime, and 100% Burst uptime.
Normal Burst
Elemental Burst uptime in this simulation adjusts to Yae Miko's Energy Recharge
No Reaction

With Reaction

Always Burst
While in this simulation, Yae Miko always has her Burst ready whenever the cooldown is over.
No Reaction

With Reaction

You can see here that ATK/Electro/Crit performs best even when Elemental Reaction is considered. Furthermore, even when I pretend Yae Miko's Elemental Burst has 100% uptime, 4-Emblem of Severed Fate fails to take the top spot among the artifact sets.
Personal Opinion
I really really love playing Yae Miko. I love her playstyle, and I found her very fun to use. Unfortunately, as of now, I don't think she'll fit very well in the meta. In team compositions, you'll find other Electro characters are a better option than Yae Miko![]()
So if you're a meta follower, then I won't recommend pulling for Yae Miko. Get Raiden Shogun instead.
Penny for your thoughts
Who do you think fits best in Yae Miko's team?
Is Yae Miko underwhelming?
Is she a 5-star Fischl? Or is Yae the worse Fischl?
As usual, if you have any questions, corrections, or feedback, feel free to throw them in the comment!![]()
