Hello Chest Hunters!
Here is the updated version of my Mondstadt luxurious chest guide. Way back when I first started guide making, I didn't even include the chests in the screenshots, so hopefully this revamped version will be easier to use. (You can see the old guide here)
Updates
✧ Screenshots includes photo of chest
✧ Includes map of shrine of depths chests
✧ Added written descriptions for obtaining chests
✧ Removed Domain chest counts from the guide, they can be found here instead
There are a total of 19 luxurious chests in Mondstadt, 9 from exploring the world and 10 from Shrine of the Depths. For those who are looking for guides on the other types of Mondstadt chests, check out the link below:
Max Counts / All Chests for Mondstadt
This makes a total of 131 Luxurious Chests in the game. If you have higher than this number, you can check out the link below explaining bugs in the battle chronicle chest count.

These chests each give 10 Anemo Sigils.
Chest 1
This chest is found at the top of the Mondstadt cathedral. It requires a bit of climbing, but you are rewarded with a nice view along with the luxurious chest. (5 Anemo Sigils)
Chest 2
This luxurious chest is a bit hidden. You will see a **all sparkle on top of the railing in the Anemo Archon plaza. Climb onto the railing to start the hidden puzzle. (5 Anemo Sigils)
P*** through all the circles without falling off to spawn the luxurious chest.
Chest 3
This luxurious chest can be spotted from the teleport right about the Knight's of Favonious Headquarters. (5 Anemo Sigils)
Chest 4
This luxurious chest on the very edge of the map. Jump off the ledge, and you will spot the luxurious chest by the waterfall. (6 Anemo Sigils)
Chest 5
This luxurious chest is found on the hidden Island for the Time and Wind World Quest. You can reach the island either by using Kaeya to make an ice bridge or gliding from Star****** Cliff. Once you reach the island, head east, and the luxurious chest will be hidden in the corner of the cliff. (6 Anemo Sigils)
Chest 6
This luxurious chest is part of the Break The Sword Cemetery Seal Quest World Quest. (No Anemo Sigils)
Start the world quest by speaking with Dr. Livingstone in Dadaupa Gorge. You will need to light the 3 totems in the hilichurl camps. Technically, you can start this quest without talking to Dr. Livingstone if you light up one of the totems first. Once you have lit all the totems, the seal will be broken, and you can reach the luxurious chest.
Chest 7
Follow the 3 nearby seelies to their courts to unlock the chest. (5 Anemo Sigils)
Seelie 1
Seelie 2
Seelie 3
The seelie is located on the cliff right above the chest.

Chest 9
This chest is found at the top of Stormterror's Lair. Be sure to climb to the top to also get the hidden achievement The Remains of the Gale. (6 Anemo Sigils)
That is all for now! Thanks for reading! If there are any chests you would like more information on, feel free to leave a comment below, and I (or other awesome travelers) will get back to you.
