Hello Chest Hunters!
Here is the latest installment in my luxurious chest series. There are a total of 9 new luxurious chests from version 2.6 with 3 above ground and 6 below ground. For those who are looking for guides on the other types of chests, check out the link below:
Max Counts / All Chests for The Chasm
This makes a total of 131 Luxurious Chests in the game. If you have higher than this number, you can check out the link below explaining bugs in the battle chronicle chest count.
Chest Bugs for Battle Chronicle
The Chasm
Chest 1
The first chest is found in the cavern below the new domain.
1. Locate the common chest on top of the pressure plate.
2. Defeat the hilichurls and place a geo construct on the pressure plate
3. Glide to the top of the geo resonance structure using the rings activated by the pressure plate and collect the common chest
4. Place a geo construct on the resonance structure
5. This will cause a resonance shockwave that will unlock the entrance to the domain and give the achievement "The Lost Valley"
6. Go down the opening in front of the domain to obtain the chest
Chest 2
This chest is found by completing the The Millennial Mountains World Quest.
1. Start The Millenial Mountain World Quest by speaking with Wang
2. Collect all 6 offerings as shown in the map and screenshots below
3. Go back to Wang's location and offer the items to reveal the luxurious chest
Chest 3
Although this chest is found on the chasm's surface, it is actually reached from the underground.
1. Go to the location where the northern key in the Archon Quest was found. See screenshot below.
2. Go up to the wall with wisps of air coming out of it and you will see the option to move up. This will transport you to the surface where the luxurious chest is found. You will also unlock the hidden achievement All We Need Is Some Firewood and Some Vinegar...
The Chasm: Underground Mines
Chest 4
This chest will be found as your progress through the Archon Quest.
Chest 5
This chest is found in the center of the inverted castle. Jump down the opening in the floor below the inverted fountain and you will see the chest.
Chest 6
This chest is a bit hidden in the opening of the cavern and is found next to one of the fossils.
1. Use anemo to activate the totem
2. Ride the wind current all the way up until you see a path in the middle of the cavern
3. Climb onto the path and you will spot the luxurious chest
Chest 7
This chest is found in a hidden room in the inverted castle. To unlock the room, you will need to collect 9 Orbs of the Blue Depth from defeating the Shadowy Husks.
1. Will need to obtain miner's key to unlock the area behind the gate to reach Shadowy Husk
2. Found right below the Serpent's Cavern teleport
3. Use the southern teleport from The Chasm: Main Mining Area to reach the Shadowy Husks
4. Found on the second floor of the ruins
5. Glide down from the inverted castle teleport
6. The Shadowy Husks are hidden behind a breakable wall
7. Go south from the campsite and the Shadowy Husk will be at the bottom of the tunnel
8. Hidden in a room behind a wall. Activate the exploding geo plants to break the wall.
9. Found in the river
10. Hidden room location. Once you have collected all 9 orbs, you can use it to activate the mechanism to unlock the room. This will also give you the achievement Crede Tenebrae.
Chest 8
The chest is found on top of the giant mushroom, Xamaran. There are 2 ways to reach this chest.
Option 1: If you have Venti, you can use Geo Traveler to put a geo construct on the lower mushroom pad and then create a wind current to climb up (Can also use the wind catcher gadget).
Option 2: Climb up the branch on the side. Then jump down to the top of the mushroom.
Chest 9
Complete the Chasm Delver's World Quest. Then you will find the luxurious chest on top of the pillar.
Speak with Zhiqiong at the campsite after completing the Archon Quest to start the last part of The Chasm Delvers World Quest.
