I mean I hate to say I told you so to the commenters in my last topic about this but I don't hate it. Facts are facts. Genshin has not been doing well. Star Rail has been doing worse. And MiHoYo still hasn't learned from its obvious mistakes.

I would have brought this up sooner but I decided to respect the week long mourning period. But the livestream is already out and business should be back to normal so I think I should be safe to talk about this now. Anyway we all know the livestream was delayed last week. But delayed to when? We wouldn't get an official notification until a couple days ago but I don't know if anybody really needed it by then. That's because

You know I've given Hoyolab plenty of flack for this myself. Mostly this was spillover from my anger over a couple of unjustified mutes I suffered around the same time. But that's not an excuse as you guys will see as you read on. I am speaking of course about the seemingly random censorship we've all had to deal with when we talk on here. The first thing is that we all know mass media has been on Genshin's case ever since it's insane levels of success in the gaming industry. No other game has ever earned as much as Genshin has in as short of a time. And yes

-of players leaving MiHoYo that is. Hi guys. Last time I talked about that horrible anniversary we all knew was coming. And I said we needed to wait a little longer to get the stats about September. They're here.

Do we really have more to go? Happy anniversary guys. Here's a summary of what I talk about in the video:· The anniversary rewards are terrible. No big shocker there. ·Last year I told MiHoYo if they didn't address these problems with Genshin they'd feel the consequences.

On this side of the world the information space is regarded in a certain way and when parties try to limit that space we have a word for it that starts with a c. That word tends to be thrown around at certain people, like the people that founded Mihoyo for instance. But as it turns out limiting information is something everybody in the world does. Usually it's for a few specific reasons: Preventing destructive information from influencing people who are unaware of its damaging effects, barring things that could negatively distract people who are easily swayed, also preventing undesirable information that hinders an agenda. While that place Mihoyo's from tends to do the first two for example blocking adult websites and promoted targeted media its actually that last one that becomes a problem. And that's what happens here. So yes it is definitely annoying when certain words aren't allowed or are turned into asterisks here on Hoyolab but at least you don't run the risk of cancel culture attacking you for having an opinion that goes against the grain. Yes that picture above is an example of that that happened to me recently on reddit. It's nothing big.

Help me out guys. Look at that picture above. Now check out the picture in the contest topic below. I mean am I crazy or do these two things look a little different? Because Hoyolab and Genshin CS seem to think these are exactly the same thing. Remember how

It's cute these guys are still writing letters. In our generation where texting is the norm seeing formal written messages like this is a little foreign and makes it interesting. At least to me. And it's a good thing they do because if it wasn't for that we wouldn't have the bombshell of a lore reveal that we got.

Ok what is up with MiHoYo focusing so much on mushrooms for Sumeru? It's not like Persia is known for their fungi right? You've gotta be kiddi- As it turns out (and I'm not sure how big this is since looking up "mushrooms" and "Persian mythology" is the only time I got this information) mushrooms were not only central to Zoroastrianism but also Christianity. Go figure!

It's gonna be ok man. Just step back from the cage. Don't you hate it when you're trying to free somebody but you can't really tell where the cage door is from your small phone screen? So when you go to open it you happen to be standing right where the door will swing open? Great way to get into the cutscene. Doesn't look janky at all.

Ok all cards on the table I was already spoiled about her a while ago because Rule 34 is a thing on the internet and when you come up with a bombshell like this girl she's first on the chopping block lol Anyway she's gorgeous. You can see the Pyro Vision on her belt and she basically looks like an Egyptian Beidou who was already among the hotties of Genshin. But looks aren't everything. And I'm much more interested in her backstory being an Eremite. You guys might remember
