1. Be patient.

Take it easy so much information can overwhelm. But it is important that you read the entire Guide to avoid initial mistakes.
It is a Game in which it can take months, if not a year, to finish its content, which is continually being expanded.
If there is a word or definition you don't know, such as DPS, or Resin, look it up in the Essential glossary for beginners: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Glossary
Or you can try use a search: Genshin + Your Dubt + Fandom

2. Characters

Go through my Complete Guide and for everyone, including newbies: How to build a team and its characters?
https://www.hoyolab.com/article/16549472
Where I focus on explaining in detail and step by step, how to build a character and her equipment, as well as spend resin in an efficient way.
Here I leave you the link to a Guide so you can see which characters would be banned for an initial game, not for anything in particular, it is because their ascension materials are located out of your reach, so I would not advise you to throw for them in the Banners, since you won't be able to level them up, and you could get stuck. https://www.hoyolab.com/article/5586974
The good thing about genshin is that any well-built and well-accompanied character can do more than decent damage.
[V1.4 Guide] How to build your team (Leroiy) https://www.hoyolab.com/article/260254
Initially upgrade the 4 Characters you like/use the most, preferably a DPS (start building him or her, putting your best artifacts and weapons), two Supports and a Healer. Level, Talents and Weapons to the Maximum, from Ar40 (before it is not worth it, to optimize resources). When you have these characters at least at level 80, with Talents at 7 (the most useful ones, don't raise Diona, her normal attack XD), and their weapons at 90, (I advise first to upload to your DPS) or failing that, you don't have to spend Resin, Start adding other characters to this list. (This includes the Farming of Materials and books for the promotion of characters, Talents and Weapons).
If you don't know which characters to upload, I advise you to focus on uploading off-road characters, which will help you to form any team. (Characters 4*. or 5* of the Permanent Banner).
They are Bennett Support, Xiangling, Xingchiu and Fischl SubDPS (you need to save Starshine to buy them or earn constellations in Paimon's Bargains), Mona, Keqing and Tighnari.
You can include Beidu. Colei and Kuki, as SubDPS, and Traveler Dendro, Jean, Diona, Sucrose, Yun JIn, Faruzan, Kojou Sara, Gorou, Yao Yao and Sayu as Supports, in this list (and in this order for rol).
Do not raise your characters to the MAXIMUM, that is, leave them at level 39 or 38, and not level 40 without promoting it, if you play with that character on your team you will be losing the EXP they give you for killing bugs (It is true that they do not give much EXP, but it is better not to waste anything if you are F2P). When you have the materials for his upgrade, raise him to 40, and upgrade him.
Your top characters raise them to 85, and playing with them, in two or three months you will have them at 86.
Attributes: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Attributes
For the Builds of the characters I use this page, they not only update it constantly, they also advise how to Build with Artifacts and weapons 3 and 4*: https://keqingmains.com/#search
Select a Character in Tier List, to see information.
(I recommend that you review the Builds from one version of the game to another, since it is possible that they vary, due to new weapons and artifacts),
Best team according to your Character: https://keqingmains.com/#search
Select your Character and Rol, and it will advise you on different companions.
Try to form SS teams. I know that initially it will be difficult to have all the characters that suggest you, but you can get an idea of the composition of a team. For example, if they suggest mona as a companion and you don't have her, you can substitute her for Xingqiu, or if they suggest Venti, you can change him for Sucrose.

3. Tasks

I have a Guide with a Checklist: What do I do now, where do I continue, how do I spend my time in the game? (Check list)
https://www.hoyolab.com/article/20564842
Here I highlight the following:
3.1. Daily tasks:
Enter every day, if possible one in the morning and one at night, to maximize the collection and spend resin. (They give 180 resin every 24 hours, 1 every 8 minutes, and the maximum you can store is 160, so if you go 24 hours without playing, you will lose 20).
Forge minerals with the Blacksmith, until you can't make more daily (which will require you to farm Minerals).
Farm Artifacts, not in the domains, but by collecting them from the research points on the map (there are several farming routes on YouTube, one of them is mine :)): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBTkHlqbvpU (mine includes Inazuma for being more efficient and faster (subtitles ENG), but in case you don't have it unlocked I leave you this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5f9ExF6xsE )
Do all 10 Random World Quests daily: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHZOmlMFGrU
Check for new Codes to redeem for rewards. I use this page https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Promotional_Codes
GENSHINGIFT (this one does not expire).
They usually update it every time there is an game update and be very attentive to the Livestreams of the progress of the next update game, since they usually give 300 Primos and the codes are only valid for 24 hours.
Enter Hoyolab every day to claim your daily reward, and if there is a Web Event.
Do the Daily Event (if any).
AR12 Do daily missions. (Remember that with 8 daily quests done, you have to claim a key to do AR26 Legendary Quests).
AR20 Collect Battle Pass Reward: For Login, Complete the 4 missions of the day, Collect 10 Minerals and Consume 150 points of original Resin.,
AR35 Enter the Teapot, and optimize it, in order to collect rewards, and intramoras.
[V1.5 Guide] Serenitea Pot Overview - Everything about Housing (Adream) https://www.hoyolab.com/article/333379
AR50 (if you are bored) Kill Lawachurl, Dragart Geo, and Black Serpent Guards, gives you 600 Mora, Up to 2.6 there are 50 of them * 600 = 30.000 Mora.
If you do this hunt with 3 friends, and you repeat it in each other's world, 30,000 * 4 = 120,000 per day.
3.2. Weekly Tasks:
Weekly bosses (as many as you can), at high AR levels it is best to farm only the 3 Bosses that you have the least materials, or that you need to raise the talents that interest you, to optimize the resin.
AR20 Complete the Weekly tasks of the Battle Pass: Defeat 10 Bosses, Consume 1200 points of original Resin, Spend 500,000 Blackberries, Complete 15 mastery challenges, Complete the ley sediment challenge 20 times, Cook 20 dishes, Complete 20 assignments Forge, Complete 3 Citizen Petitions (Reputation), Complete 3 Bounty Hunts (Reputation), Get 1,000 Intramoras, Craft 10 Decoration Pieces (Teapot), Buy 2 items from another player's Teapot Relaxer Teapot Spirit, Complete Domains of the crusade or the challenge of the Lord of the Wolves a total of 3 times.
(It is true that by doing the events, and the rest of the tasks, you will reach 10,000 per week without having to do: Complete the challenge of the sediments law 20 times, and Buy 2 objects from the wandering spirit of the Teapot from the Relaxatepot from another player.)
AR25 Reputation of cities. The first thing you will have to do is go up to level 3 Liyue, to be able to concentrate resin.
AR31 Parametric Transformer. https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Parametric_Transformer
Inazuma: When you have access to the Net of Ultimate Obiquity, buy 5 of them, (they give 5 per week).
3.3. Biweekly tasks:
AR20 The Abyss as soon as you can try to access levels 9 to 12), to obtain biweekly rewards.
https://www.hoyolab.com/article/5796820
3.4. Monthly Tasks
AR20 Complete Monthly Battle Pass tasks: Solve Events, Make 50 wishes, Get 12 Stars in the Spiral of the Abyss.
Paimon bargains (see below 7.1)

4.Overall

Do not consume Weak Resin (the half Moon), up to AR45.
It's simple, in AR45 you will be able to fight in the last level of the Artifact Domains, which will guarantee you a 5* artifact. For the same resin!
Archon quests (as many as you can). There are Events with mission requirements fulfilled.
Unlock Geo and Anemo Statues, with Geoculus and Anemoculus, as soon as possible, increase stamina.
To do this, it is best to explore the map, and leave the last ones you do not find to use the Resonance Rocks (Since it will consume resources). You will get the Crafting Plans for these Resonance Rocks by raising the reputation in Mondstadt and Liyue, respectively,
If you play in MultiPlayer, in a lower world than yours, DO NOT TAKE REWARDS, be it from bosses, ley lines, etc... you will spend resin on lower rewards.
Level up the World when you can, the rewards for killing bugs and spending resin will be higher. If you can't with the Bosses or Domains, put in your signature: Help!!!, surely some charitable soul will join you.
AR40 Do the legendary mission of Zhongli, to get one more weekly boss.

5. Artifacts

Don't spend resin on artifact domains until ar45, at the earliest. SAVE EVERY MOON UNTIL AR45. Until then use the Artifacts that drop from the Bosses, Wandering Orchestra, Gladiator's Finale, or Noblesse Oblige. Max them out.
It's simple, with AR45 you will be able to fight in the last level of artifact domains, which assures you a 5* artifact... For the same resin!!!! The wait is worth it.
There are 4* Artifacts that can be better than a 5* for their main stat, don't discard the ones with Elemental Damage Bonus, Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge, or with Chance. and CRITICAL Damage, as the main stat.
While it is true that Artifacts make a difference when it comes to dealing damage, you do NOT need to go crazy looking for the perfect artifact, it is a pipe dream, at least up to levels higher than ar55. And also don't refuse to make combinations of different sets with good main stats, and good sub-stats, much better than forcing to have 4 character artifacts, but with bad main stats and sub-stats. Note that it is better to spend resin on characters and their weapons than on Artifacts. Artifact Domains are a bottomless pit that will eat all your resin.
To be clear, in order of importance they are: Primary Stat, Secondary Stats, Artifact Set (first 2, then 4, if applicable).
It is ADVISABLE to have the SET that they recommend for each character, but NOT MANDATORY, you can do more than decent damage with Artifacts only with Goods Primary and Secondary Stats.
Artifacts 5 *, raise them to a maximum of level 16, only the best raise them to 20.
Always fight in Artifact Domains of level 90, if you can't, put in your signature: Help!!!, surely someone will join you to help. You can also hit the SEARCH FOR PLAYERS ****on when entering the Domain.
AR45 Another good tip is that the 5* Artifacts, level 0, that you don't want, use it (when you have 3) in the Crafting / Make Offering Table: Reliquary: to get a 5* Artifact from the SET you want .

I have an Excel Spreadsheet, for Artifact Organization, with an explanatory video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90NRcP2rHjA

6. Critical Chance and Critical Damage

TTo get decent damage on a DPS or SubDPS character, you want to aim for a balanced 1:2 ratio between these two stats. This means having twice as much Critical Damage as Chance.
Whether it's with the weapon, artifacts, or including two Cryo characters in your team (Increases Critical Chance against Cryo-affected or frozen enemies by 15%).
To start with, it wouldn't be bad to have 50 Chance and 100 Damage... and then gradually increase it. (You'll start to notice it from 60% Chance and 120 Damage).

7. Gacha

Get used to the idea that you won't be able to get all the 5* characters from the Banners, unless you decide to spend a lot of money, so you should prioritize and skip the character banners that you won't use, in order to save for the character banner with the idea of forming a good team first, and a second later, to fight in the Abyss.
Just shoot the promo, if you're interested in the character. If not, save up until one comes out that you like or is good enough for you to build two teams for the Abyss.
The one with the weapons and the permanent don't even look at them (only if you've dropped a Destiny Encounter).
Do not Wish just to raise the pity, or because you are interested in a 4 * Banner character.
I leave you a link to a Jaydelorbe Guide, where he explains very well how Gacha works: https://www.inverse.com/gaming/genshin-impact-gacha-wishes-banners-pity-system

Genshin Impact Guide: Pity System Klaudixx
https://www.hoyolab.com/article/7139908
7.0. Pity
Entry in Gatcha, Select History > Select a Banner > Count Wishes until arrive to a 5*> This is your Pity in this Banner....
If you just Wished, keep in mind that the Pity takes a few minutes to update.
7.1.Store: Paimon Bargains.
Only spend Redeem Starshine to buy characters you like, or to raise their constellations. Above all I advise Bennet (except its sixth constellation), Xingchiu, Xiangling and Fischl.https://www.hoyolab.com/article/4468963
Only spend Redeem Stardust in Intertwined Fates, in Fate Encounters, and in the Azoth Dust you need (to convert crystals, synthesizing them).

8. Side quests

When you finish all of the above, you can do these missions.

9. Exploration

If you have to move around the map try not to use the teleportation points. Open all the chests you find, follow the Seelies you meet, collect all the materials you find, etc...
Getting 100% of each map would be the last thing you would have to do. Use the Hoyolab map to find chests and challenges.
Tou will find most chests, it is best to raise the reputation level of each city to 6, so that they give you the construction plans of the treasure compass of each area, which will help you locate them.
To open all chests (There are many hidden, that the compass does not locate): https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Chests#Current_Count
Here you will be able to find out in which areas you have unopened chests (comparing the data they give you with your Achievements), and in the section: References, there is a link to a route or tutorial for each area, which indicates all their locations.
Having 100% on the map does not necessarily mean that you do not have chests or things to discover.

10. If you get stuck

10.1 Bossess / Domains
Play several times to learn their attacks so you can DODGE THEM.
Prepare enough food to heal and revive yourself.
Prepare food and Oils, which increase your damage and defense (The more stars the better).
Focus on leveling up your DPS, his talents and Weapon, put your best artifacts on him.
The last option would be to lower the level of the world (World Level 5), when you restart the server you can raise it again.
If it allows you to play in Multiplayer put in your signature: Help!!!!, surely someone will join you to overcome it together. Or you can give the option "Search Players", when you enter the domain.
10.2 Missions
If you get stuck on a Quest, and don't know where to continue, google the name of the Quest+ Fandom.
Go through the steps one by one of the Quest.

11.2 Achievements

Simple, compare your list of Wonders of the World Achievements in order, with the List of the link that I give you, if there is an Achievement that you do not have, first check that it is not unfinished at the top of your list, if it is not so, that Achievement is missing.
11.3 Meals and Consumables
Don't spend Mora on food and consumables, heal yourself in the statues of the 7, and if you have to cook or make them, always make them cheaper (for example, those that need 1 salt, avoid Shrimp XD). https://www.hoyolab.com/article/4489669

12. Tricks

12.1 Normal Bosses
When you try to kill the same Boss several times, there is a way to know if it has been reset or not... Look in the Adventurer's Manual / Bosses, and look for it... If it doesn't have a countdown clock, it's ready to go. be removed again.
12.2 Seelie
If you find the Seelie Pe,des, tal, but not the Seelie, use vision near the Pe.des.tal, it will point you in the direction the Seelie is facing.
12.3 Farm Materials
If you are looking for a material, be it character ascension, weapons or talents, press ITEM DETAILS (R3 in Play), and press SEE selecting an enemy, the Adventurer's Manual will open, and it will show you the enemy, if you press to FOLLOW, the location of that enemy will appear on the map, so you can farm the material.
To remove the mark on the map, simply select it on the map and hit CANCEL NAVIGATION.
12.4 Party Setup
You can have up to 10 predefined teams, go to Party Setup in Paimon Munu (Pause Menu), and at the bottom left of the screen, select the option to configure team (left pad on PlayStation).
